Nike Roshe Run PRM Women Red White Sail Quilted 70% Off 2014 Cheap Men Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 Light Charcoal Silver Chrome Yellow Wish You Have a Good Shopping Time Here In the olden days when shoes were a luxury and smallpox was a right of passage, men like William Randolph Hearst used their complete control over communication airwaves to tell the general populace whatever lie happened to be convenient (see marijuana is evil) or interesting (see below). With the advent of the Internet, the situation has changed so that instead of powerful media moguls spreading bullshit, pretty much anybody can do it. After all, if the story is good enough, the mainstream media will report it, no matter how transparently retarded it is. A boy in Texas stole his father's identity, obtained a credit card, and took his friends on a whirlwind shopping spree of video games, electronic gadgets and two $1,000 an hour hookers. It might not have been enough to hook the media if it weren't for an additional to good to be true detail: he didn't hire them for a night of wild sex. He only needed someone to play some Halo with him. "Oh, so when you said 'joystick,' you meant. OK, I understand now." The Police finally caught the boy and several of his friends before the hookers could show them five ways to please a man with a "Gravity Hammer." Given the adorable little "we only needed a fourth player" plot twist, we can understand why someone might want to believe the story. But there's also the ending, which would make Michael Bay and the entire Church of Scientology call bullshit. Allegedly, the hookers weren't charged because the boys convinced them they were really a group of midgets from a traveling circus seeking some non sexual companionship. The coverage reached such staggering heights that he had to put a disclaimer on the story that the whole thing was intended to be a parody and satirical, two concepts that are completely lost on news outlets like Fox News. The story appeared on the network's late night gabfest "Red Eye" where the network's judicial analyst, Jeanine Pirro, wondered why the hookers weren't thrown in a furnace occupied by hungry lions, while the show's four remaining male panelists wondered why the police didn't bestow the boy with a knighthood. Sports teams have long threatened to leave towns and their ever patient fans if their cities don't build them a new stadium, so why should Congress be any different? It could be a believable story under the right circumstances. Both usually work three to four days a week, getting paid a lot for doing little and demand the Earth, sky and moon for putting in so much hard work. China's state run newspaper, the Beijing Evening News, saw the story on the Internet and assumed it was true, rewrote a few paragraphs and printed it in their paper, all without bothering to check or confirm any of the sources mentioned in the story including then House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt. You'd think a story like this would come from some bitter senatorial page, maybe as some kind of nerd "in joke" with a bunch of other senatorial pages, but you'd be wrong. This story came from The Onion. When the Beijing paper found themselves with egg fu yung on their face, the paper's International Editor angrily declined to print a retraction in an interview with the Los Angeles Times saying, "How do you know whether or not we checked the source before we published the story? How can you prove it's not correct?" The Times then presumably opened up any other article The Onion had ever run and quietly directed the Editor's attention to it. 5. Photographs Prove Man Flies on Lung Powered Plane OK, so maybe Fox News and the Chinese government aren't bastions of journalistic integrity. Maybe you'd be more impressed by a story that fooled nearly every major American newspaper with the 1930s equivalent of a shitty photoshop? Flight had been a dream possessed by man long before the Wright Brothers built and successfully flew their own airplane in an attempt to "get the fuck out of boring as shit Kitty Hawk." "Yes! Eat my shit, Kitty Hawk!" In 1934, a pilot in Germany completed something that sounded almost too good to be true. According to the Museum of Hoaxes , the International News Photo wire agency picked up the news and almost every major American newspaper printed the story and the photograph on their front page. The photo and the story turned out to be part of an elaborate hoax by a German magazine for their April Fools' Day issue. The wire agency and the news outlets that fell for the joke failed to spot some glaring clues from the original story. The original spelling of Kocher's name was "Koycher," a German word meaning to wheeze or gasp. Sources also claimed the device turned the pilot's carbon dioxide into a fuel that powered a small motor, in laughable defiance of even Depression era laws of physics. Oh, and Kocher appears to have an elongated snow shoe coming out of his ass. 4. Study Finds That President George W. Bush has Lowest IQ Among Presidents of Last 50 Years It was hard for most mainstream media outlets not to jump on the "Beat up Bush" bandwagon, as over the years he demonstrated what seemed to be an extremely tenuous grasp of the economy, geopolitics, national security, emergency preparedness and fundamental rules of human communication. So when an email circular claimed that ol' Dubya had the lowest IQ in presidential history, the typing fingers of every journalist not currently employed by Fox began twitching with anticipation. Poor bastard. The Internet is just full of pictures of him looking retarded. The story claimed the Lovenstein Institute of Scranton conducted a four month study of President Bush's IQ levels and concluded he ranked at a solid 91 due to his lack of grasp over the English language, limited use of vocabulary and lack of scholarly achievements, unless you count being able to say the alphabet backwards after doing five straight keg stands. Seriously. Photo research for this entry was a joke. Proving that The Guardian newspaper and Doonesbury cartoonist, Gary Trudeau treat email forwards with the same level of skepticism as your mom, both picked up the story and ran with it..

A 10 minute mile is the average time for most distance runners. It is neither a jog nor a sprint but a good stepping block to pace your runs. If you run a 10 minute mile in a marathon, you would complete the race in a little less than 4 1/2 hours. Running a 10 minute mile is not as difficult as it sounds. If you are already a runner, picking up your speed is as easy as forced timed treadmill workouts. If you are not a runner, building up to a mile will take a little time but is doable with dedication. Start slowly and build up. You will not be able to run 10 minutes on the first day. Your body and lungs need time to get used to the idea, but they will if you are persistent. Begin either on a track, a trail or a safe road on which you are comfortable. Run or jog at an acceptable pace for your body for 2 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of walking. Repeat this 4 times. The workout will end being 8 minutes of jogging cut by 20 minutes of walking. Do this exercise 3 to 5 times a week, depending on your time goal. Do not run more than 5 days in a row without a rest day. You can time in your head, but using a stopwatch, wristwatch, MP3 player or cell phone would be most ideal. Increase your time. After one week of 2 minute runs followed by 5 minutes of walking, increase the run time to 3 minutes followed by 4 minutes of walking. Repeat daily and increase to 4 3, 6 2, and 8 1, and then finally 10 0 as you feel able. Do not give more than one week on each, you need to push yourself to increase at least once, twice or even three times a week. At the end you will be able to run 10 minutes regardless of if it is one mile or not. Once you can run 10 minutes, you will begin training to quicken your pace and gradually extend your distance ability. Quicken your pace. If you can run, but slightly slower than 10 minutes a mile, you can use training methods to increase your speed. First is to time yourself if you are running against a clock or a stopwatch, you will automatically feel the pressure to increase your speed. Treadmills are great training tools as you can set yourself to run a 10 minute mile and then transfer that pace to the open road. Other ways to increase speed are to incorporate sprints into your running workout. Three meter sprints will increase lung capacity and will allow your body to adjust to speed increases. Sprints are much faster than 10 minute miles, so if you can get through sprints, you can get through a 10 minute mile. Men Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 Light Charcoal Silver Chrome Yellow,Victor Martinez homered off Corey Kluber (6 5) in the fourth inning. Martinez's home run, following an intentional walk to Victor Martinez, came in the eighth off John Axford. Martinez was 3 for 4, extending his hitting streak to 10 games during which he's batting .447 (17 for 38) with four homers and raised his average to .317. "You see occasionally players get on a hot streak like this and I hope he's hot tomorrow," Detroit manager Brad Ausmus said. Victor Martinez, providing a big threat behind Miguel Cabrera, has 18 home runs and 47 RBIs with a .328 average. "When the season started I said the only guy who can protect Miguel is Miguel, but I'm going to say now the other person who can protect Miguel would be Victor," Ausmus said. "So there's at least two." Indians manager Terry Francona agreed. "He's the perfect guy behind Miggy," Francona said. "Miggy's Miggy. He has that reputation and it's well deserved, but Victor can hit all pitching. He can hit for power. He puts the bat on the ball when need be from both sides of the plate." Victor Martinez, who played for the Indians from 2002 09, is hitting .366 (70 for 191) with eight homers and 44 RBIs in 52 career games against his former team. Detroit's designated hitter also continued his mastery over Kluber. He's batting .471 (8 for 17) with two homers lifetime against the right hander. "I don't think he's biased," Francona said. "He's good against everybody." Victor Martinez belted Kluber's first pitch deep into the seats in right field. Martinez ruined that strategy with his seventh home run. The Tigers took a 5 0 lead into the bottom of the eighth, but Asdrubal Cabrera hit a three run homer and Carlos Santana had a solo shot off Ian Krol. Joba Chamberlain retired the final hitter of the inning and then Nathan struck out Michael Bourn with a runner on to end the game. "My stress level got a little bit up in the eighth," Ausmus said. The Tigers returned to Progressive Field for the first time since they were swept in a three game series last month. Detroit was 27 12 and held a seven game lead in the AL Central, but suffered two walk off losses, including a balk that scored the winning run in the 13th inning in the series finale. The sweep began a 10 20 tailspin which dropped the Tigers out of first place for the first time his season. Porcello, who is 9 3 lifetime against Cleveland, won for the first time since May 29 and for the second time in his last six starts. He was 7 1 with a 2.91 ERA in his first eight starts, but went 1 3 with a 6.00 ERA in the next five. Porcello allowed six hits, struck out three and walked one. "I had a good fastball," Porcello said. "My changeup was a big pitch. The way the guys played defence was fantastic too." Indians left fielder Michael Brantley singled as a pinch hitter with two outs in the ninth, his first appearance since sustaining a concussion Monday. Porcello is 4 0 with a 1.47 ERA in five starts against Cleveland since 2013. Kluber hasn't won since May 30 after recording victories in four straight decisions. He gave up eight hits, struck out six and walked one. Ian Kinsler had an RBI double in the ninth. Tigers right fielder Torii Hunter missed his fourth straight game with a strained right hamstring. The crowd of 33,545 was the second largest at Progressive Field this season, topped only by the home opener. NOTES: The Indians will induct Omar Vizquel into their Hall of Fame before Saturday night's game. He played for Cleveland from 1994 2004, won 11 Gold Gloves as a shortstop and finished his career with 2,877 hits. "I'm very honoured," said Vizquel, the first base and infield coach for the Tigers. "Playing here was the highlight of my career.". Tigers C Alex Avila strongly disputed an Internet report that he is tipping pitches by tapping his glove. "I've heard some crazy things, but that takes the cake," he said. "I think people are just searching for something.". The Indians recalled RHP Vinnie Pestano from Triple A Columbus and optioned RHP Zach McAllister there. . Tigers RHP Justin Verlander (6 7) takes on RHP Trevor Bauer (2 3) on Saturday. Verlander is 2 5 with a 7.83 ERA in his last seven starts.

That's the going price for the world renowned Experimental Lakes Area research facility. The price was noted by Manitoba Conservative MP Joyce Bateman in a June 2 letter to a constituent in which she reiterates her government's plan to transfer ownership of ELA to a university or private business. "This facility will be very attractive to them, especially given recent investments, and the federal government is committed to offering a transfer of ownership for a nominal fee of $1," Bateman wrote. The price tag of $1 will net the buyer 40,000 square feet of research and living space in 19 buildings. Ottawa has invested $3.5 million in the buildings in the last 10 years, including $850,000 for three new labs as part of the Economic Action Plan in 2009. NDP MP Pat Martin said it's fiscally reckless for the government to be selling such a valuable asset for a pittance. "They just dumped millions into it and they're willing to hand it over for a buck?" he questioned. The lakes on which research is conducted are owned by the Ontario government. Last month, ELA scientists were told the government is getting out of the project and cancelling its $2 million annual budget in 2013 because ELA no longer is aligned with its priorities. "The freshwater research being conducted at a variety of other facilities across the country will meet the research needs of the department." said Erin Filliter, director of communications for Fisheries Minister Keith Ashfield. In her letter, Bateman said there is still federal funding available for ecosystem research, including "similar ongoing lakes research being done under the auspices of Environment Canada in the lakes of Saskatchewan." Six former ELA scientists wrote to Bateman saying they were astonished by her letter. "We find much of the information that you have included to be factually incorrect, incomplete and misleading to your constituents," they wrote, on June 11. They took issue with her saying the research done at ELA no longer aligns with the department's priorities of fish populations, climate change and ecosystem management. "The ELA is carrying out research specifically addressing the objectives and goals of DFO that you have listed in your letter," they wrote. They attacked her suggestion the number of projects being conducted is down but costs are up, saying the number of projects has not declined and the operating costs are the same as they were in 1990, "without adjusting for inflation!" Raymond Hesslein, who worked as a senior scientist at ELA for 30 years, said while there is research being done on lakes in Saskatchewan "to compare it to the work going on at ELA is a crazy comparison." Scientists from around the globe have lobbied the Conservatives to reverse the decision on ELA, noting the facility is the only one in the world doing entire ecosystem research on freshwater lakes. Its work has led to global policy changes on issues such as acid rain, hydroelectric dams and mercury. Bateman did not respond to a request for an interview. Hesslein said he doesn't know the government's motivation for selling the ELA, but said at the very least the government should give ELA more than nine months to try to find new funding partners. Filliter said the government is working "diligently" to transfer the facility to a third party. However, sources close to the ELA say none of the stakeholders has been contacted, including the universities that do research at the facility and Friends of ELA, a non profit group that raises money to support ELA research. Men Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 Light Charcoal Silver Chrome Yellow Another purpose, the one most respected by bureaucrats and elected officials, is to meet those pesky legal requirements for public disclosure and participation that hinder their efforts at autocratic rule. But there appears to be no need to enlighten Donald Dell and his erstwhile campaign treasurer, Robin Frazier, on the subject. They have already seen the light and acted accordingly. And they have magnanimously taken steps to share that enlightenment with the public through an information packed brochure soon to be available at a few carefully selected locations. That thoughtfully saves Carroll County citizens from the inconvenience of attending a public hearing and, indeed, from the chore of thinking up any embarrassing questions that might be posed to the county commissioners and their staff. As for any possible procedural requirements and niceties, we are informed by Commissioners Dell and Frazier that they do not apply. Two heads nodding in agreement are all that count in the tri cornered county commissioner system of government. So what is this rabble rouser Julia Gouge doing, calling for a public hearing on the now foreclosed matter? "To give people an opportunity to voice their opinion," the third commissioner explains. What impudence, what heresy! How dare she challenge the divine wisdom of the ideological soulmates! And besides, hasn't Ms. Frazier assured her subjects that the aforementioned brochure on the Piney Run project will be "nicely printed"? Of course, there was the initial impression given by the ruling duo that the descriptive pamphlet would be mailed to the homes of the body politic to assure a broad dissemination of vital public information on this $14 million project. But that was before the cautious couple noticed how postal rates had gone up this year. Ever conscious of saving pennies when spending millions, they decided instead to print only 2,500 copies and place them in county libraries and senior centers. That will save $1,800 in postage stamps alone. By not printing 10,000 copies of their chef d'oeuvre, the duarchy will save the hard pressed county at least $2,000. Remember that Ms. Frazier suggested earlier this year that the county might be able to cut the property tax rate if it could manage to hold down spending? No library or senior center near you to grab a copy? Well, you can always read the sophisms of Commissioner Frazier on the subject on the Carroll County government Web site. It's not the same as a nicely printed brochure, but it contains the same ideas that drove the two commissioners to hastily approve the long shelved project way back in July of last year. Well, actually what drove the executive decision was an impasse with the owner of Liberty Reservoir, Baltimore City. The county commissioners didn't want to be told by the mayor of Baltimore how to zone the county lands and manage the county's economic development. And they didn't want Carroll water users to be held hostage to whatever rates the city might choose to impose in the future; Baltimore raised its water rates 20 percent last spring. Since Carroll depends on drawing 3 million gallons daily from the huge reservoir, and would like to get more, the Piney Run plant would serve as a sort of declaration of independence from city water and city interference in zoning. Commissioner Gouge has long urged a more conciliatory approach toward city concerns in obtaining future water supplies from Liberty Reservoir. She'd also rely on drilling and using more high yield wells inside the county to quench the growing local thirst. She objects that the brochure misleads Carroll residents in stating that the Piney Run plant will pay for itself in 10 years and in its assertion that the new plant will meet South Carroll's water demands in periods of drought. There's also public apprehension that boating and fishing activities at Piney Run Lake would be curtailed by using it as a water supply. Commissioner Frazier dismisses that concern in the brochure. Of course, these points of dispute should be raised for serious consideration by the county's elected leaders. They should be analyzed by the county experts on finance and hydrology to see if they have merit. But guess what? Commissioners Dell and Frazier maintain they've already studied these angles very carefully and rendered their joint Solomonic judgment. Nothing's going to rock them from their decision. Especially not the opinions of people who attend public hearings, whose objections are already well known.
