CONAKRY (Reuters) Guinea's former premier Cellou Dalein Diallo maintained a small lead over rival Alpha Conde in results published Friday of just over half the votes cast in the West African country's presidential election. Diallo had 51.8 percent to Conde's 48.2 percent, figures released by Guinea's electoral commission showed from a delayed tally of votes from the Nov 7 election in the world's number one supplier of the aluminium ore bauxite. Diallo's lead is slightly smaller than shown in tallies of 40 percent of the vote published Thursday. Full provisional results were expected within the next two days. "I understand the anxiety of the people," General Siaka Sangare, head of the electoral commission, said, acknowledging there had been a delay in releasing the full results. "Today was the target, but there are things we didn't foresee, including difficulties transporting the votes to our centralisation bureau. We are now setting a target of tomorrow or Sunday," he said. The election is meant to end nearly two years of military rule, though experts fear the outcome could trigger ethnic violence after a campaign period marked by street clashes. International election observers said the poll appeared largely free and fair, though Diallo has contested results from two districts over complaints of "massive fraud." Diallo and Conde represent Guinea's two biggest ethnic groups, the Peul and Malinke, respectively. Diallo has said his supporters suffered attacks prior to the poll and that Conde supporters used lemons on election day to wash indelible ink from their fingers so they could vote twice. While Diallo is in the lead, analysts say the balance could tip towards Conde, given results from many of his populous strongholds have yet to be published. A deputy prosecutor from the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda, warned the rival candidates to control their supporters and for security forces to exercise restraint. "The elections have the potential to trigger crimes that are relevant to the ICC. It happened in Kenya where we have since opened an investigation. We do not want a similar scenario in Guinea," she said at a press conference. A smooth election in Guinea could bolster fragile gains for stability in West Africa, and encourage further investment in Guinea's vast iron ore deposits. Before you start buying shoes online you should figure out whether that's that best option for you, as opposed to going out into the stores and buying it in person. One of the main reasons you would shop online is to save money, that's why most people do it. You get alot of good deals out there. You can find shoes on bargains, you can search different sites for different prices and who knows what you'll find out there that in the stores may be a $100, online you may find for $50. Also conveience of time. Especially around the holidays or if your buying gift because even if you don't need the shoe right away sometimes you don't have time to go out shopping and you just want to get your shopping out of the way. The Internet is a great source of that no matter what the product is that your buying, including shoes of course. Also styles and sizes. Maybe you go to the store and you see a shoe that is great but they just don't have your size. You can go online and find that shoe in your size, much more likely. Additionally, let's say you see a shoe, something like this, but you don't like the color so your wondering if they had it in a black or white as opposed to the red, white and blue. You can go ahead and go online and try to find a shoe with a similar pattern or perhaps a different brand of shoe with a similar look that would have the colors that your looking for. Nike Roshe Run Darkblue White,HIGH HEELS!!High heels sure to get a bad rap! Known to many as an "ergonomics nightmare", they are a fashion accessory many women just won go without (including myself!) As a runner I have read the articles warning about back problems, leg problems, joint problems, feet problems, ect! But yet I still put them on each morning for work. So I will thrilled when I recently read an article which gave me some GREAT news! High heels aren all bad. I recent study of high heels and the muscles they affect revealed that heels actually help build strong calf muscles (great news for runners and bikers). The angle of the foot causes your calf to work harder (think of it like doing heel rises all day long, you are working the same muscles). Finally some good news about my favorite blue peep toes! Of course there are still drawbacks to heels, so follow the do and don below to get the most calf building heels with the least ergonomic problems. Even though you are using your calf muscles, you are putting a large amount of stain and pressure on your back and legs. (Not to mention a fall from that high could hurt!)Little or no support Cheaply made shoes are going to offer little or no support, which will lead to back and leg painFashion over comfort That saying "pain is beauty" erase it from your mind! That saying was for when woman were squeeze themselves into corsets! We don wear them anymore and nor do we have to wear uncomfortable shoes there are lots of options out there, and shoes are being made better than ever, so find a pair that fits right and feels good, and if it doesn no biggy, keep shopping! I wear heels all day every day, between 4" and about 5" usually, and am always complimented on how shapley my legs are. LatexLeah 6 years ago Great! Now if we could just get women back into skirts and dresses. :) balletomanehk 6 years ago What an interesting article! Yes, there are comfy heels out there, but a little hard to find for my extra wide feet ; ) One word of caution though: as someone who studies ballet, I know how very important it is to have strong calf muscles. But I also know how important it is to stretch them out from time to time to lengthen those muscles otherwise they become too tense and cannot function as well. So the same should go to "exercising while wearing the heels". A good stretch at the beginning of the day and after would make sure the calf muscles don't get too tight. Histiletto 6 years ago The desireto wear high heels and the benefitsof wearing them out weigh the negatives of those whohave becomeopposed and make it a point to express their opinions vehemently. Learning of the way they help improve thecalf muscles is just another good reason to wear them. I would venture to say that those who dislike wearing heels haven't been able to find a pair made well enough so that the fit and support is in proper order for them. Then again, there are some people who have foot imperfections that prohibit them from beingable totolerate the wearing ofhigh heels and I feel bad that they have tomiss out ofthis exhilarating experience. As you may have already summarized, I have been one of the fortunate people, who can wear high heels. It really is a pity I have tobe concernedabout the close minded of society, who think high heelscan only be wornproperlyby women, because as a man, I am one of the examples that unjustifiesthisline of thought. antianera 5 years ago Oh please, stop spreading misleading information. Read this page, BEYOND the first paragraph under 'For high heels' and educate yourself. Stop deluding yourselves women, especially when there aren't any sources cited. High heels are lovely, sure, but exercising is a much better way to build muscles. None of this shopping+heels=cardio crap please! BabyJai 4 years ago I am a huge fan of aerosoles pumps. They are comfortable and make you feel sexy. I go on my treadmill with them and wear them around the house even when I'm in sweats. Not only is it great for confidence, but I always wear heels at work for 8 hours or more, so walking in them is really not going to do any damage. My Aerosoles are a classic black pump with a nice semi thick heel(for support), they can be found for $50 $70, and are worth it. I also don't wear socks or hosiery while working out and I use dumbbells and raise my arms straight above my head or to the sides, and hold it there for abs. I can feel the difference and I even do an incline. FYI I went from 203 to 165 in about 4 months and still going strong in my heels, and feeling sexy at the same time. Just make sure they are good comfortable shoes with a supportive heel.

He had to be satisfied with the winner's prize money of USD 41,000 out of the total fund of USD 3,60,000. 30 year old winner was followed in second position by his Kenyan compatriot Lawrence Kimaiyo, who finished 12 seconds adrift of the winner, while the third spot was grabbed by another Kenyan runner Philemon Baaru, in 2:09:58. The men's field included reigning Commonwealth Games champion John Kelei, a two time winner who is also of Kenya who finished outside the top ten, as well as another former champion Kenneth Mungara (Kenya), who finished 10th in 2:14:13 and got USD 1,000. were eight Kenyan runners in the top ten, the remaining spots going to another East African nation Ethiopia. And it was the eighth time in 11 years that a Kenyan stamped his superiority on the 42.195 km race. The No. 2 and 3 finishers received USD 21,000 and USD 15,000 respectively. women's race was comfortably clinched by last year's runner up Mekash in 2:28:08, also off the course record of 2:24:33, set by Kenya's Valentine Kipketer last year. Mekash bagged the top prize of USD 41,000. It was the eighth time that an Ethiopian woman finished on top in the Mumbai event. second place was Kenya's Gladys Kipsoi, on debut, in 2:29:53, while Ethiopia's Bizunesh Urgesa came third in 2:30:00 and the duo received USD 21,000 and 15,000 respectively. Ruto later said but for some "joggers" (amateur runners taking part in the marathon) coming in his way, he would surely have broken the course record set by Kiprop. "Yes (I would have broken the record). were some joggers who came in the way and I had to move away from them. While running you have to feel free, but I will come again and try breaking the record next year," he said. "The weather was fine though it was windy on the bridge (Worli Bandra Sea Link). it became warm towards the end. They should start the race early, by 6:30 am." The full marathon began at 7:30 am. broke away from the lead bunch on the Marine Drive return stretch, and despite increasing his pace a bit, could not dip under the course record. new women's champion Mekash, who broke away from the rest at the 28 km mark, later praised her training stint back home in Addis Ababa, where she practices with a top bunch of distance runners, including London Olympic marathon winner and Ethiopian compatriot Tiki Gelana for her victory. am happy to win the race. I had trained well in Addis Ababa. The weather too helped even though there was some wind. The temperature was not as bad as it was last year. The pacemakers were a great help," she said. She, however, said the slower running amateur participants were not a big hindrance to her. athletes' coordinator Jos Hermens also felt the race organisers need to be a bit more professional next year to enure slow moving runners don't come in the way of the elite field. "The frontrunners are okay as they can see these runners, but for those who are behind things become difficult. needs to be professionalised," said the ex Dutch athlete. full marathon results (top 6 positions): Men: 1. Nike Roshe Run Darkblue White Asa Hunter was just 15 years old when he drove at up to 60mph and ploughed before ploughing into Thomas Drane, 61, on Mount Road, Gorton, in a stolen Vauxhall Vectra which had wearing false plates. Then, after being caught and released on bail, Hunter drove into a group of young people in Reddish following a minor row, injuring two boys. Hunter who was turned in by his own mother for the hit and run pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and assaults causing actual bodily harm and grievous bodily harm last month. Who else has been locked up in November? Sentences and photo gallery Today at Manchester Crown Court, Judge Anthony Hammond unmasked Hunter, now 16, by lifting the reporting restrictions which usually protect the identity of young criminals. The court heard how Hunter's violent criminal history dates back to when he was 11 and includes driving offences committed when he was just 12. At the time of the hit and run Hunter was on licence after being released from the youth offenders institute and was in breach of an Asbo. Despite not being able to legally drive he had also been banned from the road. The court heard Hunter, originally from Gorton, had a total of 19 convictions for 49 offences since 2005. These included car thefts, criminal damage, robbery and breach of an Asbo, for which he had spent several periods in youth detention. His most recent spell in custody at Hindley Young Offenders Institution, near Wigan, was a three month sentence for failing to comply with previous sentences. Judge Hammond said there was a risk of Hunter killing again and detained him for the public protection. The court heard Hunter's passenger in the car, Thomas Ward, stamped on a woman's head eight times during a carjacking in Hyde committed weeks after Mr Drane was killed. Ward, also 16, of Stockport Road, Longsight, who admitted aggravated vehicle taking and assault at an earlier hearing, was jailed for four and half years. On the same April morning Hunter was released from Hindley Young Offenders Institution the Vauxhall Vectra was stolen from an address in Leigh. Later that day Hunter was driving the car in Gorton with Ward and two girls as passengers. Hunter was doing handbrake turns in to impress the girls when he spotted the police. He sped off through the streets with Ward pleading with him to slow down before finally hitting Mr Drane at Mount Road on April 11. His body was recovered 37 metres away, Maurice Greene, prosecuting, said. Hunter drove on with a smashed windscreen before dumping the car on Cranmere Avenue. The next day Hunter rang his mother Joanne Carrington, told her there had been an accident and that there was a man dead. He told her: "It was an accident mum, I didn't mean to do it.
