While students living at home incur commuting and transportation costs, living at your parents' home for little to no rent saves money.Your monthly housing costs vary widely according to region and whether you live with roommates to share expenses. Tenants pay for additional services, such as Internet service, electricity, cable television and telephone. Companies such as Comcast, AT and Verizon often bundle these services for a single fee. Telephone costs can accumulate if you have both a land line and a mobile phone. The clothing budget should also include costs for laundry and cleaning supplies. College dorms and apartment complexes offer a laundry room with coin or card operated washers and dryers. Estimate how many loads of laundry you wash each month, and calculate the cost. Add the cost for laundry detergent and fabric softener to your grocery list. Allocate a minimal amount, such as $10 a month, for clothing to cover a new pair of shoes and T shirts each year..

Orioles drawing a blank in early attempts to deal Damages, free agency are stifling moves November 10, 1990By Peter Schmuck The Baltimore Orioles tried to get a running start on the off season, but their attempt to make a pre emptive trade has been undermined by uncertainty over the free agent market and the pending collusion damage settlement. Club officials have worked furiously the past month in an attempt acquire a proven run producer, but the Orioles' enthusiasm has not been enough to overcome the industrywide wait and see attitude that has stifled trading activity. "We tried to accelerate the process," Orioles president Larry Lucchino said. "We went to the playoffs and World Series to talk to people. We didn't want to wait for the winter meetings, but it now looks like we're back to a more conventional timetable." Lucchino won't say so, but there is nothing to indicate that this logjam will be broken in the near future. Outfielder Darryl Strawberry signed a five year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers Thursday, and catcher Darren Daulton re signed with the Philadelphia Phillies last week, but this year's free agent auction is just getting under way. It could be another four or five weeks before most teams involved in trying to sign or re sign free agents will have a clear picture of their strengths and weaknesses. "There has been that atmosphere to some extent," general manager Roland Hemond said, "but you still try to talk to clubs. You just try to follow the usual procedure, have as many discussions as you can, but it takes the other party to be in the same mood to get something done." The situation is complicated further by the possibility of a new look free agent period in January and February, which would be part of the proposed $280 million collusion damage settlement between Major League Baseball and the Major League Players Association. Sixteen more players would be eligible for free agency, including several attractive starting pitchers, but their availability could keep trade activity depressed until spring training. When Hemond and Lucchino went to the playoffs and World Series, it was to try to lay groundwork for a productive week at December's winter meetings. Hemond spent the past week at the general managers' meetings in Scottsdale, Ariz., but the winter meetings, the major league portion of which will be held in Chicago Dec. 1 5, still have no trade deadline to encourage activity. The meetings have been the setting for moderate trading the past few years, but they have diminished in importance since the advent of free agency. Now the free agent picture has been blurred by the likelihood that each team will be liable for a $10.8 million share of the collusion damage settlement. That figures to have a chilling effect on free agent bidding. "I don't think so," said agent Tony Attanasio, who represents free agent catcher Mickey Tettleton. "Everybody knew about this settlement before the Dodgers signed Strawberry and the Phillies signed Daulton." If nothing else, the specter of a giant collusion payoff will provide a convenient excuse for the teams that already were reluctant to get involved in the free agent market, perhaps the Orioles included. But the lack of trading activity could have a balancing effect, since it might leave rebuilding clubs with little alternative but to sign free agents. The Orioles need a run producer, and there are a number of attractive free agent possibilities. The club reportedly has expressed interest in outfielders Tom Brunansky and Candy Maldonado, but both are looking for substantial three year contracts. There also has been talk of acquiring a veteran starting pitcher talk that began with manager Frank Robinson but the club does not consider pitching to be nearly as much of a priority as a power hitting outfielder. If the Orioles have expressed preliminary interest in the likes of Teddy Higuera and former Oriole Mike Boddicker, it seems unlikely they would spend what is necessary to sign a front line pitcher unless it was in conjunction with a deal in which they gave up pitching depth to acquire offensive help. Instead of a smart dress shirt and formal shoes, men now wear t shirts and casual footwear with pinstriped suits. While this may look good to some, it does not relay the right level of professionalism and formality that a dress shirt and men's dress shoes do. Style gurus say that there is a good chance that men's dress shoes will make a comeback, however, some guys have taken to the casual shoes trend and are planning to stick to it, but they may be left behind as men's dress shoes are becoming very popular in certain circles. It may not seem to be the case, but the man of the 21st century is more stylishly turned out than those in the generations before. Men spend a lot more time and money to cultivate a groomed image than they did twenty years ago. However, when it comes to footwear, there's still some room for improvement. With the correct choice of footwear, a man can transform his looks from plain to extraordinary. Guys, womendo notice your footwear. We look at your feet and we know what kind of man you are. Men's dress shoes are becoming more popular While casual footwear is trendy for the moment, it will soon make space for formal men's dress shoes. Formal styles are classic and will never die. We have seen this with the formal suit in the past. Some of the younger folk have a misconception regarding trendy casual shoes are cool and that formal shoes are uncool. That is not true at all. Formal shoes are just as cool, but much classier. It is also more durable than many casual shoes. Men's dress shoes fashions are not only for your dad and grandfather. A younger man, a teen or even a young boy will be sure to draw admiring glances when he wears men's dress shoes. It simply looks better turned out, and well groomed. Men's dress shoes dictate the image of the man of 2011. Air Jordan 10 Charlotte Bobcats,: RUFIO COSTUME I have been making Halloween costumes for my brother for a few years now, and this years challenge was Rufio from the movie Hook.Supplies: Old pair of shoes, red felt, scissors, tacky glue, small foam brush, plate, binder clips, paper clips, electrical tape, safety pins and a stapler. To create the red shoes I applied pieces of red felt fabric to a pair of old shoes using a foam brush and tacky glue. I used the seams of the shoe as a guide of what shape to cut each piece of fabric, leaving extra that I could trim off later. I added binder and paper clips around the edges to keep the fabric from lifting up.I used an oversized piece of felt for the toe area so I could safety pin the fabric closed at the bottom. This helped mold the fabric around the toe and kept the fabric from puckering.I let the glue dry for 24 hours. Then used scissors to trim all the excess felt from the shoe. I added electrical tape around the sole to cover up the felt edges and used a few staples to secure the tape from lifting up. I used an awl to poke holes through the felt for the laces to slide through.

Air Jordan 10 Charlotte Bobcats Due to a recent cognitive reflection, I've been thinking long and hard on the subject of love, and whether or not if I had lost the ideal of love between a man and a woman. Happily and sadly, I had indeed once experienced the power of love in all its greatness, but in my present state of mind I've come to realize it has eluded me ever since. To those who know and have been there; I stated "happily" for the obvious reasons. When I say "sadly" it's only because in realizing the phenomenon of being in love, and then "losing" it, it makes for a near impossible act to find or duplicate it again. At fifty two, I've come to understand how much I miss being in love. "To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you're getting this down." Woody Allen, Yes, I remember love now. Everything seemed so right when I was with her. Everything made greater sense. My perception was vivid and lucid. Love made me feel as if I wanted to shake hands and hug the entire world then. But now that the thought of love has resurfaced within me, I suffer. "Love is friendship set on fire." unknown I will describe one personally remarkable night in which this "friendship set on fire" has given me the best life long memory and representation of what I understand love to be. It may be the one true moment and activity that clarifies my realization of love, and apparently it is destined to stay housed within my heart until my death. "Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence." Erich Fromm I had called her at about 8:30pm one warm summer night with the blood of romance pumping soundly within my chest. I told her I was coming by to pick her up; she readily and excitedly agreed. To those who have experienced love, I know you understand when I say we were experiencing that fantastic time when lovers rarely have to exchange many words. Lovers understand that whatever the other has in mind it is usually to the benefit and interest of both. No need for explanations. Rarely do lovers question each other when there is that "air of trust" between them. Together there is that magic in everything they do. Undoubtedly there was that exceptional amount of confidence we had for each other then. I went by her Mother's house and picked her up about nine. I then proceeded to drive to a nearby package store, bought a bottle of wine, and off we went to a destination only I knew and held at the time for I had contemplated the event all that week and had the night planned like a blueprint. Just before we rolled away from the liquor store I popped the wine cork and handed the bottle to her. " Where are we going?" she asked, following her words with a small hit of the wine. " You'll see," I said in a voice that may have echoed in an unconscious whisper, "It's special, I really can't tell ya." She handed the bottle back to me. I took a good drink, smiled, and caressed her bare thigh with my right hand, steering wheel clutched in my left. Within a few miles we exited Fall River Massachusetts and entered into Westport via route 6. Roughly 8 miles later I exited 6 to Rt.88. She surmised correctly and asked, "Are we headed for Horseneck Beach?" " Yes we are hon!" " But it's dark now!" she worried. "Aren't the gates locked?" " Yes!" I said mildly . "But we can park the car at the gate and walk to the beach from there," " The car won't get towed?" " Not to my knowledge. No one I know has ever gotten tagged or towed." I was more than willing to take the chance. She didn't query anything more of me. Lovers know that probing too much only takes away from the beautiful mystery to come. Thus, she discontinued her inquiry, slid along the leather seat closer to me, and wrapped her graceful left arm around my neck. I heard the sound of her shoes fall soft to the floor of the vehicle. "Love doesn't make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile." Elizabeth Browning Feeling good, I increased the volume on our station of choice, WBRU. The front windows were all the way down as far as the electronics allowed, and trees lined both sides of the highway. It felt wonderful to be alive! It seemed as though everyone of my senses were as acute as when I were a boy, and I know she was feeling it too. Together, our physical, mental, and emotional systems were in shock we were in the midst of a phenomenon. An internal perpetual seismic disturbance that almost supersedes even ones own birth. We were obviously more conscious and appreciative of our lives during this time, and I hoped it would last forever. I imagined at that moment that I was freshly extracted from another place a dwelling where I had been at rest; motionless, and dormant. However, this new condition offered me vision, intelligence, knowledge, feelings, ideas, and a host of other human qualities I didn't know before. I, we, were experiencing the only thing that makes such attributes meaningful. Yes, it was love, and it had been bestowed upon us. I understand now what fascination it is for our senses when we experience this emotion. As we got closer, the smell of ocean was clear and the taste of salt was upon our lips. In the quiet darkness we heard the distant roar of the Atlantic rushing in and away. The ocean, I mused, would be our orchestra. I then turned off the radio. The huge brown Chrysler LeBaron I owned rolled to an eventual halt at the mouth of one of the locked A framed steel gates. I handed her the bottle of wine and reached in the back seat for the folded blanket I had placed there when I had left my house. We got out, ducked under the gate, and moved hand in hand toward our (my) destination. We traveled through one of the asphalt parking lots for a number of yards. We then crossed the sand dunes for numerous paces and before long we were there. The little building that I had spent the past week consciously dreaming about was standing before us. The building that had witnessed many love stories over the course of it's years, was about to play a physical role in ours. Mind you, it is a simple building. Just a Pavilion with restrooms and concession area. But for a week I envisioned it as a prizewinning bed. I was about to make love on its roof with the only woman who could make me act silly enough to even think of it! To those who know the extreme might of love and what it can do I know you'll relate when I say it incessantly got me think and act deliriously about the next magical moment to come. I've come to understand now how when we humans are touched by love, it commands most all of our attention. Leave the fingers open and it stays. Clutch it, and it darts away." Dorothy Parker She was a bit confused when I stopped to observe the site. Looking back, I believe she assumed we were headed for sand along the water, but there I was flat footed, looking around, taking mental notes. " What are you doing Kenny?" I held my index finger vertical to my mouth and exhaled softly as though someone could hear us. "Shhhhh!
